Contract Manager
One of Australia\'s largest multi service groups operating in the construction and infrastructure services markets is looking for a Contract Manager. You will have responsibility and accountability for all aspects associated with the management of day-to-day operations pertaining to the client con tracts.
The role is specifically responsible for the safety of employees ensuring "Zero Harm". The Contract Manager is also responsible for the delivery of organic growth, contractual compliance, financial performance and compliance with legislative, regulatory and the company\'s requirements including OHS, Environmental and company policies. The role is expected to proactively identify and address issues relating to the performance of contracts and risks to the company. This is achieved through the effective and efficient utilisation of a diverse multi-skilled workforce, consisting of both contract and staff employees, to guarantee a safe, reliable and profitable long-term business.
The Contract Manager reports directly to the Business Manager. As well as having responsibility for the Company\'s client network and relationship, the incumbent is also responsible for the safety of a large number of employees and ensuring that the company conforms to the requirements of the client\'s.
In summary, this position requires the ability to effectively perform a significant management role, to work effectively on a peer basis at a senior level of Company management, to implement strategies in a broad range of functional disciplines and to effectively present the Company\'s position and image to the Client, industry and the community in general.
Minimum qualifications required
An experienced Manager who has demonstrated a capacity to develop and manage a medium sized engineering business.
The ability to lead a workgroup and set a clear direction
You will be able to demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of Quality Management principals, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation.
Your proven skills in communication, negotiation and problem solving techniques are essential.
You will posses a proven ability to successfully manage a diverse mix of personnel primarily utilising excellent development, motivational and leadership skills in a fully competent manner.
Desirable
Diploma of Business Management
Degree in Engineering or Business Management
Post Graduate Qualifications in Business Management
Developed People Management Skills
Practical knowledge of estimating, installation, maintenance and standard operating procedures for all components used in the maintenance⁄construction operations.
Experience (Work related)
Preferably 10 years comprehensive experience in all aspects of the management and planning of a diverse set of field operations and maintenance skill sets, engaging personnel ranging from experienced professionals to a semi-skilled workforce of contractors.
